Advancing Us

Advancing Us is a virtual learning series that is guided by and organized for farmers of color around the themes of race, food and justice.  Our first event in 2020, Growing our Power with Our Vote, was in preparation for the 2020 elections and a chance for us to discuss the power of our vote in federal, state and local races, as well as, discuss how to stay safe as people of color voting and voting in a pandemic. Since then we've had sessions on the obstruction of the ARA USDA BIPOC farmer Debt Relief, land access policies and models, and racial discrimination in commercial lending.
