Role Summary:
The Farmer Organizer will create a membership engagement program that boosts participation and leadership in MFCC decision-making among farmer members, reinforcing democratic involvement in our growing organization. They will collaborate closely with MFCC leaders and members to develop their skills, increase political awareness, and enhance their participation. Additionally, organizers play a crucial role in planning and implementing campaign activities to exercise grassroots power and foster a sustained and democratic organization.

We seek someone who is organized, enthusiastic about visiting farmers in our network, and dedicated to establishing a democratic structure for more inclusive decision-making with farmers and organizations representing farmers of color. MFCC has existed for 3.5 years, but the membership has not been formalized before. This is an exciting stage to come in and play a key role in developing systems and structures that will help build a strong and adaptive organization for years to come.
