We envision a Midwest where Farmers and Land Stewards of Color reclaim wealth and restore ecosystems.

MFCC organized and launched the Radical Resource & Land Fund (RRLF) to provide holistic, place-based financial capital and ecosystem resources to BIPOC farmers based in urban, suburban, and rural Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, and eventually throughout the Midwest region.

In 2025, the pilot year of the fund, the RRLF prioritized farmers with...

  • 3 or more years of experience
  • resource investment needs for sustainable specialty crop production
  • on-farm infrastructure needs for equipment, transportation and distribution
  • on-farm-wellness education and/or agritourism land acquisition costs

In future years, the RRLF will expand resource investment to land acquisition and related costs.
